Growing up in the 80’s with cable and all the movie channels, I was able to watch a variety of movies. I forget why my Dad let me watch Salem’s Lot, but when the vampire was on screen, I would run out of the room because I was scared of it.
It wasn’t until my mid twenties when I watched it again and laughed at most of the scenes because they were cheesy. Fortunately, it didn’t ruin the movie for me but seeing Barlow’s poor makeup and acting made my nine year old self a little braver.
He's still a little scary...
